Military Whatever ships, vehicles, personnel, etc listed in the box next to the rank are what a character of that rank will have command of at that rank. You do not add ships, vehicles, personnel from previous ranks to the ships, vehicles, personnel listed under your current rank. Commanders of Capital Ships do not automatically receive starfighters to fill their capacity unless of flag rank where specified. The XP needed for the promotion is the amount that a character must gain, starting from whatever amount of XP he or she had when he or she joined the imperial or NR ranks, to achieve the given rank. Regardless of a character's beginning specialty as an officer, upon reaching a high ranking position he or she will have access to all the specialties of their branch. Imperials of any branch of the military may become Moffs if they accumulate enough XP. Upon reaching Flag Ranks, Imperial (Line Captain & Brig General) and Republic (Rear Admiral Lower & Brig General) and higher ranks, the PC is granted command to all forces upon that line. The ranks mention are references to the size of the force. If you are a Line Captain in the Empire, you command an ISD but also have a Starfighter Lt Commander's worth of fighters on your ship. Any losses in ordinance (weapons, starfighters, personnel, etc) are not automatically replaced. Rank Structures |
