Raiding
Raiding is the act of attacking another character's things they
own or assaulting their shipping/smuggling efforts.
Facility Raiding:
Facility Raiding is the act of a number of character's
raiding another character's facilities.
How do I raid Joe's Facility?
First start a RP in General Role Playing to start the
action. All players must post while all defense action will be
controlled by the owner and any allies who attend.
What forces can I expect to face?
First you can expect to face the owner and his NPCs with
possible allies. Though it should be expected that any facility
being operated will have NPC operators who will join in the
battle to defend their income! This NPC group is decided by the
RPers or by the staff if the RPers cannot agree.
What happens if I raid it successfully?
In most cases, you can RP damaging the facility or
destroying it (requires Detonite Charges). In some cases you may
be able to steal control of it. A prime example is raiding an
opponent's Capital Ship.
Raiding/Intercepting Shipping/Smuggling Operations:
How is this done?
First of all you must RP attempting to intercept any traffic
passing through the space in which you are in. If you have a
Gravity Well Projector, you must RP it activated or the opponent
may escape.
Okay, they've RPed coming out of hyperspace where I am what
happens?
You can talk it out, engage them in space combat, or they
can attempt to run, if no Gravity Well Projectors are present.
How do you run?
To run from space combat you must have 1 round of battle
generation and if you are not disabled you have escaped in the
next round. If you attempt to run, you may not perform any
hostile actions while doing so. If your under the effects of a
Gravity Well Projector, you must disable it in combat in order
to escape.
Okay, I've caught them what do I do?
Now you may turn over the goods for your profit. You must
still attempt the check to see how much you make.
What about passengers?
Passengers may be captured and held for ransom. The normal
check will be imagined as a check to see if their families or
faction pays for them if you so wish. |
