An Echocardiography report performed by a top veterinary cardiologist- Dr Brad Gavaghan- is used to screen for HCM on the breeders..
HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) is a genetic heart disease which affects cats, dogs, pigs and people.

The Programme selects for dramatic, well

A newer development is the breeding of highest quality Blue Bengals with the rare pure blue on white colouring.
The Cattery is registered with Waratah National Cat Alliance (WNCA)
- the first and only national cat registering organisation in Australia-
WNCA
It
is situated in Australia on the beautiful mid north coast between
Sydney and Brisbane - approximately 4 hours north of Sydney. The
cattery is set amidst 1 acre of gardens and the cats enjoy the
indoors also.
The Bengals are all loved and well cared for with
attention to strict hygiene and to their happiness. All kittens
are raised underfoot with love and devotion.
Hence all kittens
and adults sold are well socialised, healthy and clean.
Bengals
are intelligent, interactive cats who love to play and seek attention
from their owners. They are more doglike then most cat breeds
and in fact Bengals will often play a game of fetch or play in
water. The breed also bonds closely to their owners.
If you like the look of the wild along with keen intelligence, "unique
character" and cheeky attitude then the Bengal
is for you.

The Unique Bengal
In The Beginning
Look Of The Wild
The Wild Cat photos page show some of the very beautiful coat patterns
and types of various wild cats.
The inspiration for Bengal
breeding is to capture the beauty of the wild in a domestic
pet cat.
The Bengal cat itself
is from breeding selected cats with the wild Asian Leopard Cat.
This hybridising was fraught with problems and was and is an expensive
and difficult task but the efforts of various dedicated breeders
have established the beautiful Bengal
Breed of today. This breed is continually improving upon the
wild beauty and clear definition of markings in a stable, affectionate
and healthy pet.
Wildkatt Bengals carry genes from the following Asian Leopard Cats (ALC) :
Centerwall ALC, Segura Khan Of Kent ALC (also known as Bahgara Khan), Bonsai ALC, Kabuki ALC, Art Deco ALC, Phantom ALC and the rare, prised Bristol/ Margay line
