What is Brushtail?
Brushtail is an intranet developed for a public library service. Now available as open source software. Brushtail is written in the PHP scripting language.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Brushtail is released under the GPL open source licence. This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License, or (at your option) any later version. This program is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. What does it run on?
Brushtail requires a PHP (4.3 or above) enabled webserver and the MySQL database server. These are both availble as a free download. PHP can be used with the Apache or the Microsoft IIS web server.
What platforms does it run on?
Both PHP and MySQL can run on Windows, linux, Unix, Novell and Mac OS.
